News of Nate Dogg’s death shocked the music world, when it leaked to the Internet early Wednesday morning (March 16), but details surrounding his death are still unknown.
|However, the singer’s manager, Rod McGrew, revealed to TMZ Wednesday that Nate’s family believes the singer’s death was caused by complications stemming from the two strokes he suffered in 2007 and2008, despite his progression in recovery.McGrew told TMZ that Nate (real name: Nathaniel D. Hale) was “95% recovered from the first stroke in 2007”, when a second stroke occurred in 2008, leaving him partially paralyzed and with partial memory loss.
However, as Warren G had said late last year, most believed Nate was on the road to recovery. McGrew said that Nate had got his memory back and was fully alert and aware all the way up to his final days.
Somehow, things took a turn for the worse, and his death seemed to come out of nowhere. His family have seen the overwhelming support since the news dropped, and are grateful.
“We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support,” McGrew said in an official statement released on behalf of himself and Nate’s family.
“We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie.”
The official cause of death is still unknown.
Nate Dogg was just 41 years old.
